New advertising process for planning permit applications

Yarra Ranges Council is introducing a change to the advertising process for planning permit applications.

Planning permit applications must be advertised to the community via signage on site, and in local newspapers.

In the past, Council has requested the applicant to place the notice in the relevant newspaper and to show Council that this has occurred. The cost of advertising this notice was paid by the applicant.

From 1 July 2019, Council will instruct our contractor to arrange for advertisements to be placed in the newspaper and to confirm with Council that the ad has been placed. The cost for this service will be included in the advertising fee request that applicants will receive from Council.

This notification provides you with three months’ notice ahead of the changes.
