The Yarra Ranges community is invited to the Belgrave Community Hub Open Day, hosted by Inspiro Health Services and Council on Sunday 14 April, 11:00am - 2:00pm.

There’ll be free activities perfect for young people and families, face painting, food trucks, food/cooking demonstrations, drumming circles, apple coring, smoothie bikes (free smoothies), health info and talks by experts.

You’ll also be able to talk to Inspiro's expert clinicians.

Council built the $9.67m hub in partnership with Inspiro, to respond to the high demand for allied health, family and children services and dental services.

The hub opened its doors formally in April last year and has recently increased its opening hours from 8.45am – 4.45pm Monday to Friday.

It is managed by Inspiro providing counselling, diabetes education, dietetics, physiotherapy, podiatry, social support, occupational therapy, children's occupational therapy, speech therapy and the needle syringe exchange program. Dental services will be offered later this year.

Council provides maternal and child health services at the hub.

Dandenong Ranges Emergency Relief Service (DRERS) operates out of the hub and provides emergency relief to those in need.

This project was jointly funded by the Federal Government ($3.835m), State Government ($1.723m) with $723,000 from the Growing Suburbs Fund and $1m from the Community Infrastructure Fund, Yarra Ranges Council ($3.865m) and Inspiro Community Health Service ($250,000).

Belgrave Community Hub is close to public transport including Belgrave Train Station, located at 1616-1622 Burwood Highway, Belgrave.
