Council’s Capture Fairfield Visual Arts & Photography Competition has launched, set to inspire creatives to showcase their artistic flair and secure a slice of more than $1000 in prize money.
Formerly an annual photography competition, Capture Fairfield has now been expanded to include a visual arts category in 2019.
Primary and secondary students, and amateur artists and photographers 18 years and over, are invited to submit their artistic interpretation of what best captures the character of Fairfield City.
“Since its inception in 2017 the Capture Fairfield competition has steadily grown in popularity producing material that identifies with our diverse, colourful and inclusive spirit,” Fairfield City Mayor Frank Carbone said.
“From beginners with a unique concept to artists, photographers and graphic design gurus, the competition is now open to everyone.
“The theme of Your Council is open to personal interpretation in telling Fairfield City’s unique story.
“I look forward to seeing the entries capture the essence of our City.”
