Residents can keep up to date with Gannawarra Shire Council news in a number of ways.
Council communicates with residents and the wider community through local newspapers, its website and social media accounts, with residents encouraged to sign up to updates using a new communications tool.
“Council aims to distribute information to residents regularly and in a timely manner,” Mayor Lorraine Learmonth said.
“This information ranges from project updates, information on key decisions and service announcements through to health alerts and events occurring within the Shire.”
The majority of these information updates appear on Council’s website – www.gsc.vic.gov.au – and its social media channels.
Residents can also sign up for updates, which include media releases, Council’s fortnightly Gannawarra News advertisement and other reminders.
“Those wanting to receive this information regularly are encouraged to e-mail [email protected] and asked to be added to Council’s mailing list,” Mayor Learmonth said.
“Please state in the e-mail what information you would like to receive. This includes media releases, the fortnightly Gannawarra News, arts newsletters or grants information.
“Community members can sign up to more than one mailing list to ensure that you are kept informed across a range of Council’s service areas.”
Residents can also keep up to date with Council’s news by liking Council’s Facebook page and following @GannawarraShire on Twitter.
