Spark Fest kicks off Youth Week

Spark Fest will kick-off Youth Week celebrations in Canterbury-Bankstown, on Friday 12 April (4-8pm), in Paul Keating Park, including a silent disco, dodgem cars, food and live entertainment.

Mayor Khal Asfour encouraged all the City’s youth to take part, particularly as Youth Week coincides with the school holidays.

"Like all sections of our community, youth play an important role in Canterbury-Bankstown, that’s why we celebrate Youth Week each year," he said.

"We have more than 117,000 residents aged under 24 - their talent, dedication, energy and different perspective, helps shape our City and makes it stronger."

The theme of this year’s Youth Week (10-18 April) is Coming together to Connect, Share, Speak out, and Celebrate.

"Spark Fest is a great way to launch our Youth Week activities and is one not to be missed," Mayor Asfour said.

"All of the events are free but some require registration, so make sure you don’t miss out and sign-up early."
