Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale Chief Executive Officer Kenn Donohoe has tendered his resignation after accepting the role of Chief Executive Officer with Whitsunday Regional Council.
Shire President Michelle Rich thanked Mr Donohoe for his service and contribution over the past two years.
“On behalf of the Council, I would like to thank Kenn for his hard work and dedication during his time with the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale,” Cr Rich said.
“With massive growth and change in our region over the past several years, Kenn has demonstrated great leadership at a critical time for our Shire which has delivered positive outcomes for our community.”
Mr Donohoe acknowledged elected members and staff, and said it had been a privilege to serve the community in the role of Shire CEO.
“Since my family and I moved to the Shire at the start of 2017, we have loved every minute,” he said.
“I would like to thank the Council for their support during my time as CEO, as well as the commitment and dedication of my staff who do a tremendous job every day for the benefit of our community.
“I wish the Council, Shire staff and our community every success in the future.”
Mr Donohoe’s last day with the Shire will be Thursday, 10 July.
Council will start a formal recruitment process for a new CEO.
