The online application form will be available from the Community Grants page of Council's website, www.queenscliffe.vic.gov.au,  from 1 May 2019.

“Council is very pleased to provide an online application process, developed in response to feedback from the community, for our 2019 Community Grants program,” said Borough of Queenscliffe Mayor, Cr Bob Merriman.

In addition to the online process, application forms can be downloaded from Council’s website, www.queenscliffe.vic.gov.au, or picked up from Council’s offices at 50 Learmonth Street, Queenscliff, completed, and returned:

Council invites applications for the Community Grants program from Wednesday 1 May 2019 until 4:00pm on Friday 7 June 2019.

“In 2018 Council awarded over $19,000 of grant funding to a range of local organisations,” said Cr Merriman.

“We are proud to support these organisations that play such an important role in our community.”

“Council strongly encourages eligible groups to submit an application for this year’s Community Grants program,” said Cr Merriman.

The Community Grants program aims to encourage and assist community organisations to be actively involved in the community that they operate within, empower communities to become stronger and more economically, environmentally and socially sustainable, enhance leadership, and develop a sense of pride, ownership and identity within communities.

Grants are available to not-for-profit community groups or organisations with the capacity to match the grant amount on a dollar for dollar basis, either in cash and / or through in-kind labour and materials. Only one grant application per organisation can be accepted.

Eligible projects must be managed through a legal entity such as an incorporated association, be of benefit to Borough of Queenscliffe residents, commence after 1 July 2019 and be completed by 30 June 2020. Projects with multiple components are permitted.

More detailed information can be found in the Grant Program Guidelines, available on Council’s website, www.queenscliffe.vic.gov.au, and from Council’s offices at 50 Learmonth Street, Queenscliff.
