It’s a fun day out with something for everyone at the annual Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Garden Giant Plant Sale and Easter Fair on Saturday 20 April.
Garden manager Michael Anlezark said there would be plenty of botanical bargains to be had, with 20 to 50 per cent off thousands of plants.
“Autumn is a great time to stock up and get planting in your own garden,” he said.
“We’ll give you all the advice you need to help your plants thrive. So bring a bag, a box, even a trailer and stock up on our lovely native plants.
“Gardeners can also learn more at our 12.30pm propagation demonstration and our introduction to bush tucker session at 10.30am.”
Mr Anlezark said the Easter Bilby would call by to hand out Easter Eggs between 10am and 11am.
“There’s a lot of free fun activities for the kids too,” he said.
“There’ll be face painting and gnome painting, a jumping castle, and our Garden’s Play Space.”
Mr Anlezark invited patrons to enjoy a snack or a meal at the Garden’s café, but said there were plenty of other options for hungry visitors.
“For busy shoppers and those on the go, we’ll have a sausage sizzle running, or grab a sweet treat from our cake stall or some delicious berry ice-cream,” he said.
“Those with more time should take advantage of the autumn weather and pack a picnic basket and blanket, then pick the perfect lunch spot.”
