Federal Election Support: Morven Park, EvandaleMayor Mary Knowles OAM has today confirmed that the Northern Midlands Council will benefit from $2m in funding from the Labor Party in Government towards the establishment of female changerooms and amenities at Morven Park, Evandale.
“Council has a number of master plans in place to improve our municipal area, having already commenced various projects to improve our sporting facilities and to reduce the gender equity gap, this funding will enable Council to continue with the business of upgrading and improving our facilities for the benefit of all players but in particular our female players” Mayor Knowles said.
Mayor Knowles and Council’s General Manager, Des Jennings, welcomed the announcement on Friday 12 April 2019 by Brian Mitchell MP on behalf of the opposition leader Bill Shorten to provide funding toward the following project:
