On the lookout for how your environmentally conscious business can help spread awareness?
Council has just the event for you!
Taking place at the Gladstone Tondoon Botanic Gardens on Sunday 2 June, Ecofest is Central Queensland’s largest environmental awareness event.
Coinciding with World Environment Day, the theme of this year’s event is, 'Slim your bin with a low waste diet’.
Gladstone Regional Council encourages anyone wanting to have a stall at Ecofest to register their interest now and secure a site.
Gladstone Region Councillor Desley O’Grady said the event links people with environmental products and services while being a fun, interactive family event.
“Ecofest aims to educate attendees and the Gladstone Region about the negative and positive impacts humans can have on our environment,” Councillor O’Grady said.
“It could be reducing electricity use, banning single-use coffee cups or cutting back on carbon emissions when travelling.”
Preference will be given to those stallholders who demonstrate their environmental initiatives and credentials that align with Ecofest’s vision and mission.
Stallholders must also comply with Council’s health and safety requirements.
