Macedon Ranges Shire Council encourages visitors and residents to remember the service and sacrifice of the men and women who have served our country on Anzac Day, Thursday 25 April.
Commemoration services to pay respect servicemen and women are being held throughout the shire and some changed traffic conditions will be in place.
All roads to Memorial Cross in Mt Macedon will be closed to traffic on the morning of 25 April, with free bus services operating for transport to the Mt Macedon Anzac Day Dawn Service.
Bus services will depart from:
Gisborne Train Station at 4.15am and 5.10am Woodend Train Station at 4.30am and 5.15am Romsey Community Hub at 4.30am and 5am Lancefield Mechanics Hall at 4.45am Riddells Creek Primary School at 4.15am Sunbury Train Station at 4.50am.A continual shuttle bus service will also operate from Tony Clarke Recreation Reserve in Macedon, with the first bus departing at 4.15am and the last bus departing at 5.20am. People attempting to travel to the ceremony by car will be directed to park at Tony Clarke Recreation Reserve. The only public access to Mt Macedon will be via bus, with cars not permitted along Cameron Drive between 4am and 7am on Anzac Day.

Kyneton: a dawn service will be held at Kyneton Cenotaph at 6am, following by a gunfire breakfast at Kyneton RSL (gold coin donation for breakfast). Lancefield: a ceremony will be held in High Street, Lancefield at 8.30am. High Street will be closed to local traffic from 8am–10.30am. Woodend: a march will be held at 11.15am on the High Street service road (between Brooke Street and Anslow Street), followed by a ceremony at Woodend RSL, 32 Anslow Street at 11.45am. Road closures will be in place from 11am–12.45pm around Brooke Street and the High Street service Road, Anslow Street from Schaw Street to High Street.
