Playground upgrade at Tuross Head

Tuross Head residents and visitors will soon have a bigger and better playground to enjoy at Evans Road Reserve.

The existing playground at the reserve will be closed in late April/early May until the end of June to allow Eurobodalla Council crews to undertake a major upgrade of the park.

The new playground’s design was created by specialist playground designers based on feedback from the Tuross community gathered by Council’s recreation services team in October last year.

Council’s recreation services manager Mark Upson said a lot of thought went into the park’s design to reflect the community’s feedback and ideas.

“The Tuross community told us they wanted the park to have a lot more equipment to cater for a wide range of interests and age groups and that it should be a place where people could come together and connect,” he said.

“We think the new park will be a wonderful space to bring the family to relax, play and celebrate. It will cater to the young and young-at-heart with a range of exciting and inclusive equipment to swing, slide, climb and spin on, as well as new picnic tables, shelter and a barbecue.”

The Evans Road Reserve playground upgrade is funded through Eurobodalla Council’s playground renewal program and funding allocated to implement Council’s Recreation and Open Space Strategy.
