ROADS UPDATE at 11.40am April 18: The Peninsula Developmental Road from Laura to Coen has reopened to high clearance four-wheel-drives only, with a maximum GVM of 5 tonnes. Motorists are urged to drive with caution due to boggy conditions and damaged road surface. The road is closed at the Archer River due to flooding, however from Coen to Weipa is open to high clearance four-wheel-drives with a 5t GVM.
