Council will continue to deliver on the vision of the Northern Beaches community, bringing a balance of high quality services, environmental initiatives and investments in key projects and infrastructure.

Our combined draft Delivery Program 2019-2023 and Budget 2019/20 detail the projects, services and improvements that are planned to meet the needs of our community.

This is a responsible budget that will invest up to $439 million back into the community, including a capital works program of more than $99 million.

It shows Council is on target to achieve an estimated $161.6 million in savings over 10 years - exceeding the NSW State Government’s promised target of $76.3 million from the amalgamation.

And it will continue to pay down debt, with the repayment of $5 million in loans in 2019/20, bringing the repayments since amalgamation to $58 million, reducing loans from $90 million to $32 million.

The draft budget has a focus on renewal of assets, as well as significant environmental protection initiatives and improvement of roads and footpaths, surf clubs, parks and playgrounds.
