Council is encouraging not-for-profit community groups and organisations to take advantage of a once-off, third round of the Livingstone Community Grants to be delivered in the 2018/19 financial year.
The Livingstone Community Grants programme, proudly supported by Livingstone Shire Council, Keppel Bay Sailing Club and Inverness Yeppoon, provides funding to community groups and sporting clubs to deliver innovative projects and programmes which respond to the needs of the local community.
Community Development and Support Councillor Jan Kelly said eligible not-for-profit community organisations can apply for funding up to $2,000 for initiatives which provide a benefit to the local community.
“This current round presents a great opportunity for not-for-profit community organisations to take advantage of an additional round of the Livingstone Community Grants this financial year,” Cr Kelly said.
“The total pool of funds available across the financial year has not increased, however the third round has been facilitated to maximise the benefit provided to the local community through the programme.”
Keppel Bay Sailing Club CEO Julie Strudwick said the club was delighted to be involved as a partner in such an important community initiative that contributes to the overall wellbeing of our community.
Inverness Yeppoon Project Manager Alison Craggs said their company was proud to support the programme and looked forward to seeing another round of funding provided to worthy community causes.
Applications for this round of the Livingstone Community Grants are now open and will close Friday, 3 May 2019.
