Library Happenings
Shire of Harvey 24 Apr 2019
Check out what has been happening in the Harvey Library lately. Anzac Day Craft

The library was jam-packed with children and their parents who were keen to create some Anzac themed craft items on Wednesday, 24 April.

Easter Egg Competition

The competition was strong in Harvey Library’s 2019 decorated Easter egg competition with nearly 80 entries by all ages from 2 to 12.  Judging criteria were creativity, colour and care, and entries showed a delightful range of ways to display these features.  Winners were:

Age 10+      Taya Hunt (Highly Commended – Charles Ruben and Taya Hunt)

Age 6 – 9    Ciara Zappia (Highly Commended – Carl Ruben and Hannah Simpson)

Age 0 – 5    Yumi Newton (Highly Commended – Ky-mani Tupear and Rosie)

All entries are now on display at the library.

Pyjama Storytime

Pyjamas, slippers, teddy bears and loud joining-in voices were on show at Harvey last week in the library’s annual Pyjama storytime.  Following a number of very active songs, the 17 children and eight adults joined in with some wild stories about rattling old cars, enormous turnips, creaky beds and eating peas.  Craft, fairy bread and milo were then enjoyed before going home to bed.
