Information on sulphur smell in Borough of Queenscliffe

Council has received a number of enquiries regarding offensive smells in areas of Point Lonsdale. The City of Greater Geelong advises that the smell is a result of Lake Victoria drying out and gases being released as the organic matter at the bottom of the lake breaks down.
