Changes to library Wi-Fi service

Because Burdekin Shire Council will soon introduce a new FREE public Wi-Fi service at several locations within our Shire, there will soon be a new Library members only Wi-Fi service available at both the Burdekin Library and the Home Hill Branch Library.

Commencing 1st May 2019, the members only service will offer the following features: • Free access – Once only manual registration at circulation desk (No more individual tickets) • No speed limits and no time limits (currently limited to 1 Mbps) • Data limited to 750 MB per day and a maximum of one (1) device per member at any one time.

The new public access service will offer the following features: • Free access – Self-registration • No speed limits and no time limits, except at the Ayr and Home Hill Visitor Information Centres where there is a four (4) hour time limit • Data limited to 250 MB per day
