A Safe and Strong Community for Everyone

We all have a role to play in keeping our community safe.  Over the coming months, the Town of Bassendean will work with the community to develop a plan targeting community safety and crime prevention.

Did you know research shows that strong communities are those that are safe, inclusive and caring? 

Using a fresh approach, the Town in conjunction with residents, businesses and government is keen to discover, connect, act upon and celebrate the strengths of our community through building and strengthening relationships.

A Taskforce has been established for a finite period to oversee the development of a Community Safety and Crime Prevention Plan comprising representatives from the Town of Bassendean, state government and the local community.

If you are community-minded, have a positive outlook and can work with others towards a common goal, we would love to hear from you!

We are building a “community of interest”, representative of the diversity within our community.  Selection goals will include representation across age, gender and geographic demographics.  As part of the community of interest you will contribute to the development of a Community Safety and Crime Prevention Plan over the next 6 months which will include participation in an asset based community development exercise.  Please register your interest and availability by contacting the Town of Bassendean via email on [email protected]
