Saturday, May 18, 2019, 2 – 5pm At this free, hands-on workshop, participants will be taken through the various applications of woven bamboo and are invited to learn a range of weaving and preparation techniques. They will be led by Alice Grace, Steve Szell and Hunter Eccleston. Alice and Steve worked under the tutelage of Master Weaver Wang Wen Chi; and Hunter and Steve ran QUT’s Student Bambuild series for 7 iterations. Note: This workshop takes place in a shaded outdoors location in the Gardens. Wear appropriate clothing to ensure you are appropriately protected form the sun.
