Council welcomes Phil Stone to the key leadership position of Director Assets and Operations.
Mr Stone has extensive experience in local government, including in rural and regional areas, and has specialties in strategic management, land use planning and project management.
Council’s new Director Assets and Operations said he was delighted to be working at Macedon Ranges Shire.
“The Macedon Ranges is a beautiful part of Victoria, and I am looking forward to working with the Executive, officers and Councillors to deliver necessary infrastructure and services,” he said.
“Whether it’s building a road, upgrading a reserve or making sure we are ready for the next emergency, I am looking forward to helping Council continue to improve its service delivery and demonstrate accountability to the community.”
Mr Stone worked most recently at Snowy Valleys Council, a new local government area located near Tumut in New South Wales, Australia. Prior to that appointment, Mr Stone was General Manager, City Development at Latrobe City Council.
Mr Stone began his new role this week, and is based at the Gisborne Administration Centre.
