THE GRIGORYAN BROTHERS: SONGS WITHOUT WORDS

Songs Without Words will be a treat, highlighting Slava and Leonard’s deep appreciation for music across the spectrum of styles. This show will weave its way though their many collaborations, both written and improvised. Combine this with their classical training and we get to experience a unique sound melding all these influences.

Join us to experience composers such as Bach, Elgar, Dvorak, Rachmaninoff, Faure, De Falla and Ponce, all are masterfully arranged by their father Edward. This collaboration with their father isn’t new. Grigoryan senior arranged the music of Tchaikovsky’s suite for piano The Seasons, for his sons’ critically acclaimed 2012 release.

Slava and Leonard Grigoryan are counted amongst the finest musicians of their generation. They have a reputation for enthralling audiences with the energy of their performances and range of styles they play.

Broadly appealing and incredibly skilful, their virtuosity is reflected in their most recent tours. In August 2017, the duo performed as support for the Canadian singer-songwriter KD Lang on her Ingénue Redux, 25th Anniversary Tour. This was followed immediately by an national tour with the great Flamenco guitarist Paco Pena.

Embracing genres such as classical, jazz and contemporary, the duo explore music from around the world.
