Council is investing more than $58 million to upgrade all sports pavilions in Bayside to provide new modern facilities not only for sports clubs but also the broader community.
We are seeking to provide community groups and schools with improved opportunities to utilise our sports pavilions outside of the times allocated to the sporting clubs. Sporting clubs retain exclusive access on a 24/7 basis to store rooms.
All pavilions now have electronic locks that enable access times to be allocated. If a sporting club requires access outside of its normal times, this can be provided by contacting Council and access can be immediately provided if the pavilion is not being used by others.
This will allow greater use of these valuable community facilities primarily on when the facilities are not allocated for club usage.
