Council wishes to advise that repairs have been undertaken to return pressure to residents of Portland.

On Saturday 27 April 2019 the failure of a Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) in Portland resulted in a series of burst water mains due to the substantial increase in pressure. To overcome this issue Council reconfigured the network to reduce further damage, which may have resulted in reduced water pressure for some residents of Portland.

Repair works were undertaken on Thursday 2nd May to replace the Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) that had failed. Council wishes to advise that residents who were experiencing low pressure should now have pressures similar that before the failure of the PRV.

Council apologies for any inconvenience and would like to thank residents for their patience with this matter.
