National Volunteer Week is an annual celebration held in the Gladstone Region to acknowledge the generous contribution volunteers make to our community.
Celebrated from 20 to 26 May this year, Gladstone Region Mayor Matt Burnett encouraged community members to nominate those who aid in making our region the best it can be.
“A community cannot function without the dedication and countless hours volunteers put into our region,” Councillor Burnett said.
“From sport to art, to environmental and educational, communities need volunteers in so many areas and we are very lucky to have a region full of amazing people.
“We want to identify and recognise the efforts and input of our local community volunteers.”
To nominate a volunteer, visit www.gladstone.qld.gov.au/volunteering or collect a hard copy from any of Council’s customer contact points.
Deadline for submission Tuesday, 7 May 2019.
For further information call Council on 4970 0700.
