Potential pet owners are urged to attend the fourth Operation Fur-ever Home on Saturday to find a new furry family member.
More than 300 rescue cats and dogs have already found loving homes through the collaboration between Council and local pet rehoming groups.
Councillor Jessie Richardson said the adoption day was the purr-fect opportunity to meet prospective four-legged friends in one place.
“There are 8 rehoming organisations taking part, which will mean around 90 pets will be a Cannon Park looking for new owners,” Cr Richardson said.
“Our local rehoming groups do an amazing job looking after rescue cats and dogs every day, but unfortunately not every pet that ends up in foster care finds a new owner quickly.
“I really hope that each and every pet at Operation Fur-ever Home finds a loving home. Maybe that’s yours!
“So if you’re looking for a new addition to your household come down and meet the cats and dogs and hopefully find the purr-fect pet for you and your family.”
Operation Fur-ever Home will be held from 9am to 1pm on Saturday (11 May) at Cannon Park Racecourse, Woree.
