Prescribed burning planned for Oakford

The Shire recently received Mitigation Activity Funding to proactively treat extreme, very high and high bushfire risks within our district.

7 May 2019

This work is being undertaken in a combination of ways which includes the installation of hardstand limestone firebreaks, gates and prescribed burning with follow up weed spray.

As part of these mitigation works, a prescribed burn will be carried out this Saturday, 11 May 2019 in specific areas of Foxton Drive and Craddon Road Reserves (please refer to image below).

Nearby residents have been notified. If you are in or around the area on Saturday please drive safely as smoke may be a hazard.
