At dawn on 25 April 2019 over a 1,000 gathered at the North Sydney War Memorial, Ridge Street North Sydney.

Jilly Gibson, Mayor of North Sydney delivered the commemorative address.

The gathering was led in prayer and song by Master of Ceremonies, Geoff Watson, Vice President of the Sub-Branch, Chaplain Cornelius Bosch RAN, Commander Rick Westoboy, Lt Commander Colin Marshall RNZN and bugler Jordan O‘Brien.

Wreaths were laid by dignitaries and local school children.
