Culinary Carnival

A feast of international flavours and entertainment will be on offer at Culinary Carnival on Saturday, 1 June in Fairfield City Centre.

The menu has been greatly extended for 2019’s carnival. Alongside Spanish and Latin favourites will be cuisine, dance and music from right across the world, celebrating the rich diversity of Fairfield City.

Returning will be the ever-popular Asado barbecue, Spanish paella and chilli eating competition. They will be joined by Assyrian and dessert cooking demonstrations, dancing performances and workshops, and of course, plenty of food to tantalise the tastebuds.

Fairfield City Mayor Frank Carbone said Culinary Carnival will be a wonderful celebration of the colour and diversity that makes Fairfield City such a great place to work, live and raise a family.

“For the first time, Culinary Carnival can boast a truly global food and entertainment experience for families and food lovers alike,” Mayor Carbone said.

“As one of the most multicultural cities in Australia, I look forward to celebrating our rich heritage with each other and all of Sydney.

“I encourage everyone to come down and discover a whole world of flavours and entertainment in Fairfield City Centre on Saturday, 1 June.”

There will also be a range of free children’s activities including quesadilla and bruschetta cooking workshops, face painting, hair braiding, Bike ‘n’ Blend smoothie making and for the parents Coffee with a Cop.

Culinary Carnival will be held at Spencer Street, Fairfield City Centre, on Saturday, 1 June from 11am-4pm.
