Two of Australia’s best-selling authors will ignite the imaginations of children and adults alike when they visit the Burdekin Library later this month.
Children’s author and illustrator Leigh Hobbs and thriller novelist James Phelan will each host author presentations and workshops between Tuesday 21 and Thursday 23 May.
Burdekin Shire Council Mayor Lyn McLaughlin said the Library was excited to welcome the celebrated authors to the region.
“Leigh is the author and illustrator behind the iconic Horrible Harriet, Old Tom and Mr Chicken Goes to Paris titles, whilst James is the creative mind between the Last 13 and Jed Walker thriller series,” she said.
“It’s incredibly exciting to have authors of such high calibre visit our Library. We encourage reading and writing enthusiasts of all ages to attend one or more of the available sessions.”
