Pop-Up Libraries Coming Soon Near You
City of Rockingham 10 May 2019

The Pop-Up Libraries offer residents the chance to engage with the City’s Library Services outside of the traditional library setting. Pop-up library events are held in a variety of locations across the City, giving residents who might not usually interact with a library the chance to do so.

Pop-up library stalls are operated by City library staff and residents can ask questions, bring their iPads or other tablet devices for demonstrations of eBooks and eMovie downloads, or they can simply come down for a friendly chat.

City of Rockingham Mayor Barry Sammels urged all book lovers to check out the City’s Pop-Up Libraries when they arrive in their community.

"All four of the City’s libraries are vital resources that are filled with valuable knowledge and information that is waiting to be explored," Mayor Sammels.

"Here at the City we understand that not all residents may be able to access a library, so we are delighted to be able to bring a small part of the libraries to people instead.

"Membership of the City’s libraries is free so I encourage all residents to take advantage of our Pop-Up Libraries. Simply visit us with your ID or come and sign up to explore the vast range of resources that are available."

The next Pop-Up Library events will be held at Mike Barnett Sports Complex from 9am–12pm on both Tuesday 26 February and Thursday 28 February.
