Bush Fire Control and Bush Fire Brigades Amendment Local Law 2018

The purpose is to remove matters from the City of Rockingham Bush Fire Control and Bush Fire Brigades Local Law 2001 that can be better dealt with by other means. The effect is that the City of Rockingham Bush Fire Control and Bush Fire Brigades Amendment Local Law 2001 is amended.

Cats Local Law 2018

The purpose is to set a 'standard number' of cats that may be kept on premises. The effect is that people must not keep more than the standard number of cats unless provided for by the local law, the Cat Act, or its associated regulations.

Dogs Amendment Local Law 2018

The purpose is to remove matters from the City of Rockingham Dogs Local Law 2000 that are dealt with by other legislation. The effect is that the City of Rockingham Dogs Local Law 2000 is amended.

Pest Plants Amendment Local Law 2018

The purpose is to add certain plants to Schedule 1 of the City of Rockingham Pest Plants Local Law 2000. The effect is that the plants added to the schedule are prescribed as pest plants.

Repeal and Amendment Local Law 2018

The purpose is to repeal the City of Rockingham Extractive Industries Local Law 2000; and to amend the City of Rockingham Cemeteries Local Law 2000 and the City of Rockingham Health Local Law 1996. The effect is that the City of Rockingham Extractive Industries Local Law 2000 is repealed; ‘authorised person’ is replaced with ‘authorised officer’ in the City of Rockingham Cemeteries Local Law 2000 and the provisions contained in the City of Rockingham Health Local Law 1996 relating to bee keeping are repealed.

Sand Drift Local Law 2018

The purpose of this local law is to provide for the regulation, control and management of site erosion, sand and dust on land within the City. The effect is that owners and occupiers of land are required to take practicable measures to prevent erosion and the movement and escape of sand and dust.   The above local laws may be inspected at the City of Rockingham Administration Building and libraries during normal office hours and at Local laws, Council policies and delegations.   Michael Parker Chief Executive Officer
