Over 145 stalls will be available at the expo, providing information to visitors on the range of services, activities, programs and products that are available to seniors and carers.
City of Rockingham Mayor Barry Sammels said the Seniors and Carers Expo was a chance to highlight the important contribution older people make to the City and to raise awareness of the issues surrounding ageing.
"Seniors make up a significant proportion of our community, approximately 16 per cent, and the City highly values the contribution they make to our society," said Mayor Sammels.
"Our older residents have helped forge the City into what it is today, which is why the International Day of Older Persons is a great opportunity for the community to reflect on their efforts.
"The Seniors and Carers Expo is a wonderful chance for seniors and carers to access valuable information on the services, programs and activities that are available to help older people live a safe, fulfilling and enjoyable life."
The International Day of Older Persons is an annual event that is celebrated on 1 October each year.
