Great Wheelbarrow Race Road Closures

In the interest of competitor and public safety, several road closures will be in place for the Great Wheelbarrow Race.

Byrnes Street Mareeba: 7am 17/5/19 to 10am 17/5/19. Single lane (northbound) between Rankin and Lloyd Streets. Detour via Walsh Street. Raleigh Street Dimbulah: 11am 17/5/19 to 5pm 17/5/19. Full closure between Hyde and Argyle Streets. Detour Via Kennedy Street. Burke Development Road – Lappa Range: 9am 18/5/19 to 11am (approx.) 18/5/19. Single lane (westbound) closure with traffic control. Main Street Almaden: 10am 18/5/19 to 11am 19/5/19. Full road closure. Queen Street Chillagoe: 8am 19/5/19 to 2pm 19/5/2019. Full closure between Cathedral and Frew Streets. Detour via Tower Street.
