Everyone in the Livingstone community is encouraged to have their say as part of the Livingstone 2050: Shaping Our Tomorrow planning project.

Deputy Mayor Nigel Hutton urged people to share their thoughts with their neighbour and get everyone involved as this will be a plan for the whole community.

“Having everyone involved is important, and this is a great opportunity for the community to ‘have its say’ on what it believes should be the future of the Capricorn Coast community,” Cr Hutton said.

“Consultation and engagement with the community is a significant element in achieving a meaningful plan to guide the Livingstone community over the next 30 years.

“Feedback and comments collected from the community through the telephone and online surveys will provide a foundation which will guide additional consultation and engagement activities within the planning project.

“We’re encouraging all community members not to miss out on this opportunity to be a part of shaping the future of the Livingstone community.”

You can get involved in two ways:

•if you get a call, agreeing to answer the phone survey now being conducted by Yellow Square on behalf of Council; •fill out the online survey on Council’s Get Involved website: https://getinvolved.livingstone.qld.gov.au/livingstone-2050.

The phone surveys will be conducted throughout May, and the online survey is open now until mid-July. If you find it difficult to complete the online survey, Council has made iPads available at Town Hall and the Community Centre in Yeppoon, as well as at the Customer Support Centre / Library in Emu Park.
