The workshops are a collaboration between the State Library of NSW, Legal Aid NSW, Community Legal Centres and NSW Fair Trading.
Legal Aid NSW CEO Brendan Thomas said Law Week – from May 13 to May 19 – presented an opportunity to show key areas where legal assistance could make a positive impact.
“Legal Aid NSW is here to provide help in the areas of criminal, civil and family law for everyone – but especially our most vulnerable and disadvantaged communities,” he said.
The State Library's Find Legal Answers service, a partnership with public libraries, provides the community with up-to-date and reliable legal information to answer common questions about the law.
State Librarian John Vallance said: “This important Law Week collaboration brings legal service providers into local libraries to share their expertise and inform the community on legal issues that impact on their everyday lives.”
