Not only that but when our food waste ends up in landfill, it releases methane, a greenhouse gas which is 25 times more harmful than carbon dioxide[1].
Starting a compost or worm farm at home is a win-win for your garden and the environment. That’s why Council is offering households one free compost bin or worm farm to get you started.
While it can seem like a daunting task initially, with a few simple steps you can start a lifelong habit to benefit both your garden and our planet.
