Submissions are now open for local community groups and businesses to host events and activities for the annual Victorian Seniors Festival in Baw Baw this October.
Each year the Victoria-wide festival offers a variety of free and low-cost activities designed for local seniors to enjoy.
Here in Baw Baw, the festival has a wide variety of offerings covering all hobbies, interests and abilities. In previous years, events and activities have included:
Group fitness and aquatic classes for all abilities, Singing and dancing activities, Bushwalking, Friendly competitions of golf, croquet and table tennis, Musical concerts, Gardening and bonsai, Movie screenings and more.Submissions must consider the following criteria:
The event or activity must take place between 7 - 20 October 2019. The event or activity is free or reasonable cost. The event or activity offers good quality entertainment or an activity in a friendly environment. The event or activity offers people an opportunity to try something new.All successful events will feature in the festival print program developed and distributed by Baw Baw Shire Council later in the year.
Submissions close on Friday 28 June 2019.
