Planning is underway for the 2018 Mayor’s Charity Gala Dinner ‘The Greatest Show’ to be held on Saturday 4 August at Campbelltown Arts Centre from 6pm. The circus themed event will be a glamorous night of fine dining, entertainment and generosity.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to a Campbelltown based St Vincent de Paul Refuge for women and children escaping domestic violence, drug and alcohol abuse and homelessness.

Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr George Brticevic, said sponsors were needed in the Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze categories.

“In 2017, the Mayor’s Charity Gala Dinner raised more than $50,000 to support the installation of a new, interactive and accessible playground at Beverley Park School for students with physical, intellectual or multiple disabilities,” he said.

“Funds raised this year will be used to enrich the lives of the women and children who access the crisis and emergency accommodation. With up to 11 families housed at the refuge at any one time, teenagers need an updated study and recreational space and younger children need a new welcoming play and learning area that is safe and secure.

“Tickets are on sale via Council’s website. Individual tickets are $150 per person or $1400 per table of 10 (inc. GST). All tickets include a three course meal, beverages and entertainment.”

Should you be unable to attend the event, but are looking to support the women and children of the St Vincent de Paul Refuge, donations of money, in-kind support, prizes or gifts are most welcome.
