The honour roll includes volunteers who devote their time to groups including local rural fire brigades, Meals on Wheels, the Scouts, Girl Guides, schools, churches and sports clubs, as well as charities that raise funds to give local students the best start in life.
“I thank all of the award recipients for the positive contribution you have made and continue to make to Campbelltown and for nurturing a strong sense of community in our city,’’ said Mayor George Brticevic.
“The individuals we acknowledged today have gone above and beyond to improve the lives of others in our city and the organisations we recognised also deserve our thanks for their commitment and support which adds so much to our wellbeing,’’ Cr Brticevic said.
Leumeah’s John Cornhill was recognised for 65 years of contribution to Campbelltown Camden District Band, of which he is still an active member today.
