Living near creeks and grasslands is just one of the joys of living in Brimbank. We know how lucky we are to live in such a unique environment, and we always love a chance to give back. We invite you to enjoy our community planting day from 10am - 12pm on Saturday 25 May, where we will be planting native wildflowers along the banks of Kororoit Creek.
We will also have a demonstration by an arborist who will be using a chainsaw to cut hollows into a tree. Hollows increase habitat for wildlife.
Come along and see these hollows which are an alternate to nest boxes.
This activity will be a wonderful day out for everyone, and is an excellent opportunity to learn and grow within nature.
Stay for a free BBQ after the planting.
