River Street Upgradebetween Grant and Moon Streets - commences 28 May

Council has begun planning the next stage of the River Street upgrade, between Moon Street and Grant Street.

Works will include widening and paving of the footpaths, reconstruction of the road pavement, planting of street trees and landscaping, stormwater, lighting improvements, undergrounding of the electricity on the southern side of River Street. Works are due to commence on 27 May 2019 and are expected to be completed late 2019.

This upgrade will be consistent with other River Street stages previously completed by Council. 

To minimise inconveniences the footpath works will be undertaken at night to ensure access to all businesses will be restored during the day. Council understands that this work will cause inconveniences during construction and will endeavour to minimise disruptions.
