Need to mulch your garden? Burdekin Shire Council is hosting Free Mulch Weekends at the Ayr and Home Hill Transfer Stations. Simply turn up with a ute or trailer and we’ll help load the mulch with our loader – all free of charge!

Ayr Transfer Station 

Saturday 1 June 9am – 4pmSunday 2 June 10am – 4pm

Home Hill Transfer Station

Saturday 8 June 10am – 4pmSunday 9 June 10am – 4pm

Please note: There is no limit on the amount of mulch loads per vehicle, however for truck and semi loads quantities, please phone Council’s Waste Section on (07) 4783 9800 to arrange an alternate date and time.
