Earlier this year we invited the community to attend the April meeting of the Charters Towers Flying Fox Advisory Committee (FFAC), which unfortunately was postponed. We have now rescheduled this meeting on Wednesday the 5th June.

This is a great opportunity for the community to hear what the committee is doing.

During the meeting, we’ll provide information from the experts and share some of the hurdles we face in managing flying fox and how the community can help.

Mr Robbie Katter MP, myself and the experts will make ourselves available for any questions from the community.

Committee members include stakeholders from all levels of government and community representatives.

I want to encourage the community to come to this special meeting, so they can hear firsthand what the FFAC is doing and hear up-to-date information on the research CSIRO is conducting.

Meeting Details: 12:00pm, Wednesday 5 June 2019 Council’s Administration Building (12 Mosman Street) – Gold and Beef Rooms RSVP here by 4pm, 4 June 2019.
