Council is seeking Expressions of Interest from community members to join its Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Working Group.
Council is developing its first RAP and established a working group made up of Council staff and local Aboriginal people to lead the development of the action plan and oversee the consultation.
The group would like to invite up to two non-Indigenous community members to join the group. By taking part, the broader non-Indigenous community will assist in advancing reconciliation and improving outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
The RAP Working Group usually meets in the afternoon on the second Thursday of the month at the Council offices in either Gisborne or Kyneton. Community members must be available to attend these meetings on a regular basis until the launch of the RAP, which is expected in mid-2020.
Express your interest in joining the RAP Working Group before Sunday 23 June.
