The Campbelltown Business survey closes on Friday 5 July.Council is checking the pulse of the Campbelltown economy to explore more ways to support local businesses to prosper.
Sole traders, micro business owners and people who manage or own a business of any size are encouraged to take part in a survey Council is conducting in partnership with independent market research company IRIS.
Currently there are more than 9,800 active businesses in Campbelltown City, resulting in 60,736 jobs and achieving $13.13 billion in total sales last financial year.
“Local businesses play a vital role in the economic and social prosperity of our community and attract people to our area through the services and products that they provide,” said Mayor George Brticevic.
“Our city is undergoing a period of growth and now is the perfect time for us to receive a snapshot of our local economy from the people who know it best,’’ Cr Brticevic said.
“Tapping into the opportunities identified by local businesses as well as their issues and concerns will help Council to refine the support and services targeted to assist them to fulfil their potential, and build on their hard working success to date,” he said.
Information gathered from the survey will be applied to formulate plans, workshops, policies and strategies to help local businesses expand, improve their market position and become more sustainable.
The short survey will take five to 10 minutes to complete and is available until Friday 5 July.
