Highly qualified judge of visual arts, Gillian Peebles, will host both of the Let’s Talk Fine Art events. The first event is a public session which will be held on Sunday 16 June 2019 from 1.30pm–4pm.
The second event is a private session on Sunday 23 June 2019, running from 1.30pm–4pm.
Ms Peebles, who is accredited with the Royal Academy of Arts in London, will be able to give artists positive feedback and will explain a judge’s point of view on each artwork.
City of Rockingham Mayor Barry Sammels encouraged residents to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity.
"Gillian Peebles is an expert in the field of visual arts and will be able to offer local artists direct feedback on some of their work," Mayor Sammels said. "Not only are the two critique sessions a chance to gain feedback from an industry leader, they also present a great opportunity to view and appreciate positive aspects of other people’s artwork.
"For the public session, people are welcome to attend simply just to hear the critiques. So whether you are an artist in need of an expert opinion, or simply just a lover of art, I encourage you to register for the City’s Let’s Talk Fine Art sessions with Gillian Peebles."
A maximum of two artworks per person can be critiqued. A registration fee of $5 per person, per session, applies. Bookings are essential and can be made by contacting the Rockingham Arts Centre on 9527 0734 between 10am and 3pm, Monday to Friday, or via email [email protected]
