Ingleburn’s own street piano, an outdoor synthetic ice skating rink and live music are part of the fun at a one-of-a-kind community party on the longest night of the year.
Into the Night is a direct result of feedback from the Love Ingleburn consultation sessions where residents expressed that they wanted more night time and community events in Ingleburn.
The event forms part of Council’s Love Ingleburn placemaking project with beautification works taking place across the city to bring vibrancy to Ingleburn and build on the village feel that residents value.
“We have heard the community of Ingleburn and planned a great night of entertainment and family fun,” said Mayor George Brticevic.
“This event will help local businesses and the community to thrive and foster that sense of village and community that people enjoy most about Ingleburn,” Cr Brticevic said.
The event will include the unveiling of a piano that will be gifted to Ingleburn Village and remain in the centre for everyone to enjoy. Local singer, Lauren Azar, will perform a variety of music on the piano.
Little Orange artist, Jess Pound will unveil her colourful street mural, a permanent public artwork that is an extension of the garden beds on Oxford Road. People can also contribute to a live action artwork she will be painting at the event.
The night will also include: -
Heated outdoor dining precinct with dessert food trucks and takeaway food specials available from local restaurants and cafes Photos of people at Ingleburn Alive projected as part of the Faces of Ingleburn project Stargazing with Macarthur Astronomical Society Free synthetic ice skating experience Free face painting Free outdoor play gym for children aged five and under.Into the Night will be held on Oxford Rd between Ingleburn Rd and Macquarie Road, Ingleburn from 5pm to 9pm, Friday 21 June.
