POLICE are investigating a series of incidents - including a 15-year-old robbed in her bedroom - that started with a blue Mazda 3 being stolen from a woman at Thornlands.

A police spokesperson said the car was involved in five incidents including stealing petrol from a Mount Cotton Road service station about 10 minutes after being stolen on Friday, June 7.

The spokesperson said the vehicle was stolen from a 23-year-old woman on Boundary Road about 4.45am.

"...Two men jumped into her vehicle after she had parked her car and momentarily exited the vehicle," the spokesperson said.

The spokesperson said the car was seen at four houses at Greenbank and Calamvale between 12.30pm and 1.45pm on Monday, June 10.

"At 12.30pm a Boulia Street, Greenbank home was broken into and property, including jewellery, stolen," the spokesperson said. "The thieves damaged two external doors."

At 1.15pm, a 44-year-old woman heard two men in the backyard of her Calamvale house shortly after the doorbell was rung.

One put on gloves as he approached the rear door. The men fled after the woman called out.

About five minutes later two men were seen acting suspiciously outside another Calamvale house.

"A member of the public, a 45-year-old man, who queried the men, was verbally threatened before they entered the stolen blue Mazda 3 and drove off," the spokesperson said.

The spokesperson said that at 1.45pm, two men, one armed with a knife broke into a house on Chateau Street, Calamvale by kicking in the front door, splintering the door frame.

"A 15-year-old girl home at the time called triple zero (000) before the men forced their way into her bedroom," the spokesperson said.

"They stole the girl's mobile phone before searching the remainder of the house and fleeing with a quantity of jewellery."

The mobile phone was found in another room. The girl was not physically injured.

The men fled in the stolen blue Mazda 3 hatchback, described as a 2005 model with Queensland registration 406 JFP.

Acacia Ridge Criminal Investigation Branch detectives have asked anyone who sees the vehicle, or can help identify people in comfit images or CCTV to contact police.

"If sighted, please do not approach but immediately call triple zero (000)," the spokesperson said.

Anyone who has information should contact Policelink on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers anonymously on 1800 333 000.
