The school holidays are fast approaching and once again Cessnock and Kurri Kurri Libraries have a great range of exciting activities planned!
Kids will be able to test the principles behind rocket science in a hands-on workshop, learn Stop Motion animation or create outer space scenes using printing and marbling techniques. There will be Lego competitions and JD returns with a brand new magic show.
You can also come along dressed in something red and learn all the moves from the ‘Wuthering Heights’ music clip, so you are ready to take part in the worldwide celebration of Kate Bush’s iconic song. The library will also be celebrating NAIDOC Week this year with NAIDOC Storytimes and Aboriginal Art Workshops.
Cessnock City Library Services Co-ordinator, Rose-marie Walters is encouraging local parents, carers and children to get involved in activities in our libraries this school holidays.
“Our libraries are a fantastic place for children to learn a new skill, have fun and make new friends and there’s also plenty on offer for local parents too.”
Be sure to get in quick and book your place, as spots are limited! Bookings open on Sunday 16 of June. Book online at: libraries.cessnock.nsw.gov.au, or by calling Cessnock Library on 49934399 or Kurri Kurri Library on 49371638.
